aolmusic: so what are you up to right now?
aolmusic: are you in the studio? touring?
CanadaSk8trGrl: I'm touring right now. Finishing up my North American tour.
aolmusic: do you like going on the road?
CanadaSk8trGrl: I love being on the road... meeting all the fans. It has been amazing.
CanadaSk8trGrl: I travel on a tour bus - my own tour bus - my own room. I have totally moved in. It's great.
aolmusic: When you travel
aolmusic: do you bring home-stuff, like scented candles?
CanadaSk8trGrl: No, I don't really like the smell of scented candles. They are too dangerous on the tour bus.
aolmusic: true! Do you ever yet homesick on the road?
CanadaSk8trGrl: I don't get homesick
aolmusic: is there a city on this tour you're particularly psyched to play in?
CanadaSk8trGrl: I'm going to South America in the next couple of weeks and i have never been there before. I'm really excited.
aolmusic: how great!
aolmusic: i've heard fans are amazing there
CanadaSk8trGrl: Yes, i've heard that too. It's going to be great.
aolmusic: what do you bring to
aolmusic: listen to in the bus?
aolmusic: (or on the plane to south america )
CanadaSk8trGrl: I just watch DVDs most of the time.
CanadaSk8trGrl: On the plane i usually sleep.
aolmusic: i bet it's hard to squeeze in sleep!
CanadaSk8trGrl: No, i can sleep anywhere.
aolmusic: do you bring a sleep mask?
aolmusic: or fluffy socks?
CanadaSk8trGrl: Yes, sometimes i wear a sleep mask...
CanadaSk8trGrl: No - don't wear fluffy socks...
aolmusic: i guess it's not very punk rock
aolmusic: when you have a night off on the road
aolmusic: do you go and hear bands?
aolmusic: or just chill out in a hotel room?
CanadaSk8trGrl: I like to go out with my band on nights off... grab a bite to eat....do something fun.
aolmusic: when you have a day off on the road
aolmusic: do you like to go shopping?
CanadaSk8trGrl: Yes, i enjoy going shopping...
aolmusic: for clothes? for guitar strings?
CanadaSk8trGrl: No... i enjoy shopping for clothes...
aolmusic: what sort of stuff
aolmusic: are you into wearing now?
CanadaSk8trGrl: My style is changing... i think that happens naturally over time.
aolmusic: like what?
CanadaSk8trGrl: I like vintage clothes - jeans - t-shirts.. Still enjoy converse...
aolmusic: do you like the new converses
aolmusic: that you don't need to tie?
CanadaSk8trGrl: I just wear the old ones.
aolmusic: that's cool
aolmusic: you're very good at chatting via aim!
CanadaSk8trGrl: Thanks.. .I'm used to it.
aolmusic: do you do it a lot?
aolmusic: is that how you keep in touch
aolmusic: with pals?
CanadaSk8trGrl: Yeah... i keep in touch with friends and family a lot on email.
CanadaSk8trGrl: Especially when i'm overseas...
CanadaSk8trGrl: It's so easy these days!
aolmusic: i bet....

CanadaSk8trGrl: Exactly!
aolmusic: what are you listening to
aolmusic: these days?
CanadaSk8trGrl: Coldplay, Greenday etc.
aolmusic: i'm surprised you like coldplay
aolmusic: it seems a bit mellow
aolmusic: for you
aolmusic: what about them do you like?
CanadaSk8trGrl: I like that their music has feel, depth and is incredibly creative.
aolmusic: it does!
aolmusic: where do you get inspiration for your songs?
CanadaSk8trGrl: I get inspiration from life... everywhere.
aolmusic: do you read a lot?
CanadaSk8trGrl: Yes. I love to read.
aolmusic: what are you reading at the moment
CanadaSk8trGrl: I'm reading Fast Food Nation for the second time.
aolmusic: cool
aolmusic: is it hard travelling
aolmusic: with a band full of guys?
CanadaSk8trGrl: No. My band is great. We have a lot of fun together.
aolmusic: it's probably
aolmusic: like a road trip with your buddies!
aolmusic: hey, where are you as we're typing?
CanadaSk8trGrl: Got a show here in North Carolina tonight.
CanadaSk8trGrl: We are on the bus at the venue. We played in Charlotte last night. Drove here through the night and have a show in Raleigh tonight.
aolmusic: are your fans in n.c. different than, say, your fans in Toronto?
CanadaSk8trGrl: The fans are great all over North America. They have been amazing each night.
CanadaSk8trGrl: Thank you to all the fans who have come out to the shows.
aolmusic: do they sing along with the songs?
CanadaSk8trGrl: Yes- they sing along. We have a good time.

aolmusic: have any fans brought you
aolmusic: engagement gifts?

CanadaSk8trGrl: I get all sorts of stuff... overseas in Japan they bring you a lot of Hello Kitty stuff etc
CanadaSk8trGrl: Comic character stuff
aolmusic: personally, i hope you wear converses at your wedding
CanadaSk8trGrl: I was thinking about it...ha ha
aolmusic: you're a vegetarian, right?
aolmusic: is it hard to find good stuff to eat
aolmusic: in some of the places you tour?
CanadaSk8trGrl: Yeah, especially overseas... i just try to eat a pretty plain diet... Can't really afford to get sick
aolmusic: if i was traveling to Canada
aolmusic: where you are from
aolmusic: where should I go?
CanadaSk8trGrl: If you go to Napanee go to La Pizzeria.
CanadaSk8trGrl: Such great pizza!
aolmusic: did you go there a lot growing up?
CanadaSk8trGrl: Yeah.
